Ropes — Description
Rope is the most versatile bondage tool – use it to simply tie wrists or to create intricate and beautiful Japanese shibari ties. Beginners should choose soft cotton or synthetic ropes that do not irritate the skin and untie easily. Experienced shibari fans will appreciate natural jute and hemp, and silk rope is perfect for more elegant play. Always keep safety scissors nearby and regularly check the feeling and colour of your partner's fingers. Cotton, silk, jute and synthetic. Various lengths and colours. Soft and skin-friendly. How to choose bondage rope. Beginners should pick soft cotton or polyester rope 6–8 mm in diameter and 5–10 m long; it is smooth, does not chafe the skin and is easy to untie. Jute and hemp ropes (shibari) are authentic, with a rougher texture and good knot hold, but need conditioning and learning; start with 3–4 ropes of 7–8 m. Silk rope is a luxury for romantic play, and bondage tape sticks only to itself, not to skin or hair, making it the fastest option without knots. Kits with rope, safety scissors and instructions are a convenient start; coloured ropes also suit decorative tying. Safety. Never tie around the neck, never tie too tight (a finger should fit), avoid the inside of joints where nerves and vessels run, and keep blunt-tipped safety scissors at hand. Check the warmth of fingers every 10–15 minutes and never leave a tied partner alone. Machine wash cotton in a bag; jute cannot be washed. Frequently asked questions. Where to start? With a simple wrist tie (single column tie) from the instructions. How much rope is needed? 5 m for the hands, 3–4 ropes of 8 m for a full body tie. All products are shipped in discreet packaging. We deliver across Latvia and the Baltics.
